「TEDxYouth@Kyoto 2013」スピーカーの“いっきゅう”さんは、昔ながらの日本の紙芝居に大きく魅かれた一人です。
テレビやゲームの無かった時代の子供たちにとっては、何よりのエンターテインメントだったはずの紙芝居。
その魅力を日々かみしめながら修行に励む彼女が得たアイデアとは、一体なんだったのでしょうか。

IKKYU is a student of Kyoto University of Foreign Studies, born and raised in Kyoto. She is the first prize winner of “a pair presentation contest on Japanese culture” performing Kamishibai (Japanese Storytelling show). Fascinated by the Kamishibai style, she began studying it to become a Japanese storyteller, joining a Kamishibai group “Yassan Ichiza.” On the 2nd,12th, 22nd, and 23rd of every month, she performs Kamishibai at Kiyomizu Temple with her senior disciples. In the future she hopes to travel to different countries to story tell, to bring smiles around the world through performing Kamishibai.
